Process Climate-plaster
If you are planning to apply Climate-plaster yourself you can follow step-by-step instructions via this page. If you carried out the actions after the video instructions, you will have an optimal Climate-plaster result.
Preparations
Before you begin, it is important to make sure that you have the necessary materials and tools. The subsurface must be strong and free of rust, grease and nicotine. In addition, the subsurface must be moisture free for the Climate-plaster finishing (for instance new stucco). Before you apply the Climate-plaster ISO-WB, it is important for the subsurface to be prepared for wallpaper. Make sure you have all tools and materials at your disposal. All materials and tools are available in our web shop.

Step 1
Cleaning and taping
Cleaning the subsurface is very important for the adhesion, see preparation. When you begin taping frames and ceilings / walls, please observe a 3 mm margin / distance for the Climate-plaster decor finishing. Afterwards, do a second round of taping without the 3 mm margin. This to apply the Climate-plaster ISO-WB, after which you can immediately remove the second layer of tape. Now you are ready to apply the Climate-plaster decor. Please read the user manual of the products, these are listed on the packaging.
Pre-treatment
The subsurface is to be pre-treated with Climate-plaster ISO-WB, an insulation layer of acrylate. In case of very dirty, yellowed and porous surfaces we recommend carrying out this process twice. The drying time between two layers is 3 hours, when the ambient temperature exceeds 12 degrees Celsius. The insulation layer can be applied by means of a roller. Make sure to always properly touch all corners and edges for adhesion and insulation. After 12 hours of drying, you can apply the Climate-plaster decor.
Step 2
Step 3
Mixing with water
You can mix Climate-plaster with water. The amount of water is specified on the label. Fill the mortar tub with the proper amount of water, then add the required amount of m² cotton plaster. Mix the cotton plaster manually, keep mixing until a homogeneous mass is created. Leave the mix alone for about 5 minutes, and afterwards mix it once more, manually or by machine with or without effects. Please note! Quarts decors are always mixed manually and trowel applied.
Adding effects
In the use of effects (when applicable), 1 bag of effect is enough for 5 m² of cotton plaster. You can add more or use less for more or less surface. The effects are added after manually mixing the cotton plaster and prior to machine mixing. This, so that the effects are evenly mixed with the cotton. Please note! Quarts decors are always mixed manually and trowel applied.
Step 4
Step 5 A
Troweling
A Climate-plaster plastering trowel is used for manually applying the cotton plaster. Apply the cotton plaster to the transfer board, and apply it to the desired surface using the plastering trowel. To distribute the cotton plaster evenly, it is important to distribute it with a vertical and horizontal crosswise motion. For the proper distribution, one can test this by drawing a line with the edge of the plastering trowel in the applied plaster, in which the thickness should not exceed about 2 mm. Subsequently smoothen / trowel the result with little resistance or press in a motion of half circles.
Spray application
For spraying, you can contact Climate-plaster, in relation to the specific application method for the processing of the cotton plaster.
